Tri Shutter Card

Hi Crafters! Here is another tutorial from *Unique Fold* series. You’ve seen many tri fold cards but this one is unique folding technique tri shutter card.


Material needed:
  • 10cm x 18cm plain colored card sheet piece
  • Designer papers of various types
  • Scissors, Glue and Adhesives
  • Embellishments

Step1: Cut the card sheet 10 x 18cm. Mark the lines according to the template. Cut on the red lines. Make a mountain fold on all blue lines and valley fold on all green lines and your basic card structure is ready.

Step2: Take 3 pattered papers of 5.5 x 5.5 cm, 4 papers with 2.5cm wide and 1.5cm height and 2 pieces with 11.5cm wide and 1.5 cm high. Paste all the pieces on relevant places.


Step3: Now embellish the card. I used round cornered square piece of thick paper with any greeting stamp. My favorite paper flower. Then a banner with SMILE on it (I just stick banner shaped paper for each alphabet on wool thread). Then some glittered stars and butterflies


 Actually, I love light colors and less embellishments but you may use whatever you have or want to embellish your card.

Handmade cards are the best gift one can give to loved ones and it gives more pleasure than a store bought card. To make cards, I always search for new folding techniques that are attractive and easy to make at same time. While in hurry, I always prefer this super easy swing fold technique.
